Went to KWVR then Hunslet for overhaul and worked at KWVR for a few years. Then a second overhaul at Kilmarnock before a one way run to Aviemore so I'd wager that its a contender.

It went to the ELR for the 25th anniversary of the end of steam event in 1993, the mainline connection was unavailable at the time so all the visitors came by road.

41241 arrived at the KWVR from Skipton under her own power in April 1967. In 1975 she had a trip out and back on the main line to/from Shildon for the Stockton and Darlington 125 celebrations, but apart from that has not left the Worth Valley as far as I recall.

No-one commented when this was buried in the Clan Line thread - so asking again: Wainwright P class No. 27? Went to the Bluebell under its own steam and I don’t think has ever left since.

Thanks. I had forgotten that. The boiler also went to the SVR in 2017 for overhaul.

The lack of response to this claim Tom suggests that it is probably true. I can't think of it travelling anywhere off the railway since arrival.

Hasn't that been to Shildon? Would have thought that would be a low-loader job.

Didn't 41241 go to Resco for work, then to the KESR for running in, in the very early 80's? That would definitely be a lorry trip if so.

Scary to think that event itself is now well over 25 years ago.

It seems she has been much more travelled than I thought! Every day is indeed a school day.
