That’s a fair old bit of bunce, usually if somethings going on a lorry it tends to visit several lines and the cost’s shared between them.
I’m guessing this hasn’t happened this time?

Last year's Winter Gala saw something like 4,000 people in attendance over 3 days

I think it said the lorry that bought the DMU in to Sheffield Park then took Camelot out so that might of helped.

Re: 34039 I mentioned it earlier in the thread - the event page on the website has it below the timetables. 7027 is still on the railway (or was last Sun), but not viewable. The boiler is in a siding just to the south of Quorn and the wheels and frames are in the shed.

Anyone know if the 9F and 8F are out on any frieght on the Friday? Or are the freight just covered by those locos shown on the passenger timetable?

    Thanks!

Excrutiatingly detailed question please about Gala loco workings on Friday 27th ?

The timetable PDF on their web site for Friday (currently V1-1) shows 17:00 ex LoBoro as 73156 + 73082 due LeicN 17:30 but 17:45 from there as only 73082, and no reference to loco detaching anywhere, nor any later working with 73156.

Is there a misprint somewhere, or is the 17:00 Up really d/h throughout and 17:45 Down single ?

Not the sort of detail I normally concerned about until the day, but knowing this one in advance on this occasion not only impacts on my planned movements for Friday but also how I go about Saturday.

Think it's a misprint and is double headed throughout

Isn't it a Passenger Timetable and there will also be Freight trains running?

    Yes.

But that does not invalidate the question that it could be an error. Fridays TT has already been re-issued once, it was V1 not it is V1-1.

I'd also question if they would really be running freight trains after dark on the Friday ? Which was another reason for me asking.

That's what I think; I certainly hope so; it sorts a lot of things out for me if it is d/h out and back.

I enquired with a mate of mine who volunteers in the loco dept and that it is indeed an error and both 73156 and 73082 are double heading the whole round trip.

Are there any running days planned for 506 and 73082 after the gala?
