The ticket machine is not connected to the destination. Wrong code input into the destination.

Oh dear, This seems to have been turned into a bus thread! Getting back on topic, I am pretty much certain that the EPB trailer coach will not be stripped/cut up on Norden RRI, as this is were the RRV's (Road Rail vehicles operate from ) I would hazzard a guess that it will probably get shunted into
    Eldon sidings.

Things have been stripped on Norden RRI before, however it does add a time element to things to prevent our only road rail access point being blocked for too long. It also adds a tidiness element as well, as no-one wants too much rubbish in their tyres!

As you probably know, the issue with moving an EPB coach on its own is the coupling arrangement isn't compatible with standard drawhooks and couplings.

Not only are there potential issues with Dorset Council, I would be more concerned about Perenco - whose staff presumably drive past this location daily - using this as evidence to Dorset Council over their (ie Perenco's) concerns as to how Swanage Railway would manage the Furzebrook site if access was granted to SRT SRC.

An oil and gas company worried about damage done to the local area is the height of irony.

Yes indeed but (1) the sidings are in their possession and they have the ability to deny SRT SRC something that SRT SRC wants (2) Perenco appear determined not to breach their planning consent either directly or through the actions of a third party give the consequences it could have for them (Perenco) (3) Breaches of any regulation whether that is Railway operating rules and regs, health and safety, planning consents etc could create issues for SRT SRC when it comes to applying for / renewing licences, leases, permissions etc.

Goodwill and reputations are peculiar things. It can be amazing how much they can survive but equally it can take only one minor issue and the whole lot comes down like a pack of cards. Being hostage to fortune is a risk that has to be taken but to invite criticism is something else.

I'm aware of the conditions but I cant help but chortle that a company responsible for terrorism, land grabs and has been accused of oil spills gives a toss. Though I will say this corner of the site is pretty scruffy looking.

Meanwhile, good news regarding the Britannia Driving Experiences. They have sold out on all 5 days. <BJ>

Excellent news, this sort of stuff needs reporting more widely, instead of the fear provoking, were running short of caviar in Aldi type rhetoric that the BBC (other news outlets are available) seem to churn out.

From the webcam looks like a 4TC coach in the platform now, but with the poor light might be one of the catering coaches?.

According to the unofficial Swanage railway Facebook page, two windows have been smashed and apparently the inside 'destroyed' .

Of what? A carriage? Station Building? A garden shed?
If you are going to post something like this, please include enough details to provide some context (or a link to the source of your info)

    Yes more info required.

Sadly it is a carriage of the dining set with smashed windows and destroyed interior. Happened whilst in the sidings, and has presumably been moved into the bay platform for assessment of damage.

Only one coach with smashed windows, but not sure if the interior of the rest of the set is impacted.

Absolutely mindless. Surely a good argument to bring back hanging.

Of course it is, an entirely measured and proportionate response to vandalism!

On FB it has been asked that as last week's attack is under investigation can discussion related to it stop until the investigation concluded.

Unless a post has named a suspect, I see no reason to edit existing posts. Likewise just because someone on Facebook asked for no discussion doesn't make it a rule either on Facebook or nat-pres
