Just saying it the way it is. To acknowledge as I did that these things can happen without expressing surprise that it did happen is hardly giving a balanced view is it? Prestige trip for WCRC and there's a loco problem. That's sad.

I wasn’t old enough to visit Dinting before it closed! I should pay a visit to Ingrow though, crikey just realised my last visit to the KWVR was just over 20 years ago!:eek:

Kudos to West Coast and RTC to keep steam on every day that it was billed as considering the way events unfolded.

Only possible because of the hard work of others, Wednesday was a superb example of what can be done in the face of adversity, something some people who find criticism easy should remember.

Is it all OK today? I assumed it was Leander and/or diesel to York and 44932 on from York, but the York NRM to York station move is cancelled. Meanwhile the LE move from York back to Carnforth is happening.

As I think I mentioned a while back, on the GB trips where I believe that the cost of a diesel path is factored into the calculations, then if there is a path available, West Coast will use it. Today seems to be an example so good for them.

Let's hope that the same is possible on Sunday other than when the diesel is needed to haul the train back from Felixstowe.
