the same suspects seem to only want to bring the thread back to the same topic . Some really need to either get involved financially or physically or understand that with regard to the railway , what will be , will now be . No amount of dredging the past is going to change that .

What is, is. But it is also the case that the tendency of some at the TVR to treat any criticism as though it's designed to undermine misses the point spectacularly - there are some basics in there which, however frustrating it may be that Elizabeth repeats them ad nauseam, are basics. If an organisation is evidenced as regarding some of its legal obligations as tedious nuisances, why should anyone trust that organisation in other areas of legal obligation?

I refer you to my previous comment

50+ pages and we are not a single step further forward , just tossing the same grenades over and over again and wondering why it makes no difference .

The most consistently active threads on this entire forum are the ones with people rolling around the same circular arguments. The WSR, L&B, Thornbury Castle, etc. Actual interest in threads that are talking about progress on railways and stock is middling at best.

I fear you may be fighting a loosing battle. It's always good to remember that (apart from when you've got a planning application or public enquiry going through) the opinions on here mean pretty much nothing and have very little bearing on reality.

The fact that late documentation hasn't actually made a tiny bit of difference to what happens on the ground should be testament to that.

The number of posts in the thread doesn't correlate to the value of the content! In most cases, it's the opposite.

But even without many replies, the content can given other forum members a good idea of both the person posting and the subject they are posting about - both positive and negative.

In this case, an organisation which can't apparently fulfil its legal requirements, but also a former volunteer who seems to have a grudge about them (rightly or wrongly).

At very least there is the ‘tiny’ amount of the Companies House late filing penalties (double-rate for consecutive years) which could’ve been spent on something useful.

To bring this back to what's important: Companies House have the power to close the Company down and put the railway out of business.

we get that , on repeat for the last FIFTY pages .

this thread has changed nothing in relation to the TVR and that is the harsh reality and that is how it will be . The die is set and the TVR will either survive without the protestations of the thread or the worst happens and the soothsayers can have their day of hindsight

I hope it ends as the film does with the narrative eventually changing.

Hang on, am I right in saying here that Elizabeth Perry is getting whinged at for pointing out something that is quite obviously wrong......and continues to be wrong?!

Part of my previous job role was as an auditor for H&S- if I was aware of a company failing to fulfill *basic* responsibilities such as filing accounts it would 100% make me look very, very hard at all the rest of the compliance.

Good luck to the TVR volunteers- I really hope that this simple, basic error is not indicative of a deeper culture of not following statutory legislation and guidance.

    Chris.

The constant repetition is perhaps what people are getting tired of.

There may be some reputational damage to the TVR but that would be made worse by simply repeating the same thing over and over.

As with some other threads on here, this forum seems to be used sometimes as a form of personal therapy, without any hope of anything actually changing. This thread is highly unlikely to make the TVR act differently, just as the WSR seems to be largely unchanged, and the use of diesels is still common on the back of railtours by certain operators.

    Serious question - why?
    What good will it achieve?
We're all aware that the railway hasn't been submitting its accounts on time, but constantly repeating it just becomes annoying. There's literally nothing anyone on NP can do about it.

A fresh post here about late accounts seems reasonable when it relates to new instance of lateness.

As has been said before now, the only way this situation will change is if enough people join as members and attend AGM's and or take a more active role at the railway, I fear that there are just not enough volunteers for every railway to survive and this is a much bigger problem across all the heritage railways than might be understood.

But it doesn't achieve anything. We know they were late last year and the year before - so we know that the company is bad at bookkeeping. Telling us that they're late this year doesn't add anything.
I would rather see the thread go quiet until some actual news is posted.
