Kinda hoping something Western decides to turn up.
Don't want another Southern electric event.

 

Having attended the SVR gala last month, I'm sure D821 would be a very warmly welcomed. Kind of hoping D6515 pops into Eastleigh to pick up "Dave" for a romp over the Alps while on its way up from the Purbecks.

 

The southern electric gala last year was probably a one off quirky gala that wouldn’t work so well again.
Should have another announcement this week all being well.

 

A Western would probably be welcomed by thrash fans and people who actually go to such events.

Already aware of a small clash on Sunday, will be resolved by 2R26 dep at 1800 from Ropley and 2A29 running at 1800 from Alton most likely.

Hopefully some loco announcements next week fingers crossed!

Should have beer and cider gen for the gala weekend this coming week as well.

 

As the Thumper isn't mentioned can I assume that it's OOS? The website doesn't give a status

 

The Hampshire Unit has been out of service since 2019 and requires a vast amount of work to run again.

 

66502 is being mooted as the loco coming from Freightliner.
It looks as if it’s a winner and has never worked a page get train.
