Yes but on least on Monday they have a reason to go to Weymouth as they are going back via Maiden Newton. I see no reason to go there Friday. Of course also an associated ECS move Southall to Bournemouth on Monday. Add to that the NB ECS moves to & from Bournemouth to Eastleigh on Saturday, then WCRC are spending a lot on diesel for ECS moves this weekend.

Which would suggest that they are not expecting to be taking all their stock off the mainline at 2359 tomorrow evening.

Perhaps it's being lined up for the Aberdonian?

It was Galatea, still with her identity crisis of Alberta/Falkland Islands. Possibly (likely?) being tested prior to the Settle-Carlisle Eden Express on Saturday from Hellifield.

Seems like someone else has an identity crisis as 45627 is / was Sierra Leone; Falkland Islands IIRC was 45606

Indeed so. I should know, having seen both many times! Serious brain fade there on my part. In addition she did not take the Eden Express on the Saturday. Must engage brain in future before putting typing finger into motion.

Take the smokebox numberplate and the shed plate off and that could be a 1967 Bulleid front end.

That really looks more authentic than most! I wonder if it will stay like that for Sunday.
