    The problem with selling the loco in the current climate is that it is only worth what someone is prepared/ can afford to pay for it.

    I can imagine there will only be a select few that a genuine contenders to buy the loco at the price they want to pay

    There's probably never a 'good time' to sell an engine, but the owner could have either not said anything about it going for sale, and thus nobody would think about it, or he could announce his decision to sell as he has and people will either work towards an offer 'soon' or someone will go and outright buy it because they are then aware of it.

    They should borrow 5900. I doubt there's much chance of it being overhauled in the near future.
