Mate of mine sent me a picture of 61306 passing through Ealing today as he was heading to Didcot for a day out but suggested OHLE issues?

61306 as per LSL's Facebook post. They've had a few showers at Goodwood, the latest causing two cars to go into the tyre wall, which has caused the red flag to be thrown.

    Regards,

    Dan

Don't think they had much choice after cooking a load of passengers on the Plymouth trip last week.

Two of Riviera's coaches cooked some unfortunate folk on UKRT's Anglian Angel on Saturday. The chap sitting opposite me pointed out that even these Mk IIs are getting old.

The difference being LSL appear to have immediately withdrawn the offending vehicles from passenger use. Riviera ones seem to run around for weeks/months/years with defective air con.

I think the length of the train required to get into the sidings at Chichester may have more to do those coaches not being there than anything else.

From what I heard on the Kingswear trip on the 2nd the AC is not good and requires constant regassing. Hopefully they won't be in the formation on Saturday but we will see what comes down from Crewe on Friday.

.......when the temperature will be a steamy twenty degrees. Having been on a 195 with failed aircon on Saturday, a good old fashioned Mk 1 is distinctly preferable to that!

When we travelled on one of the Garden of England circulars, first thing I noticed when we got into our Mark 2 was how hot it was. Assumed it would cool down once the train was on the move, but instead the weather turned wet and horrible thus making the warmth a luxury!!

If all goes to plan on Saturday the return from Cardiff should arrive into Platform 2 at Paddington while the RTC train from Minehead should still be in Platform 1.

Should be a nice line up.

With 70000 now out of action, all of her duties for the winter period have been rostered for 34046, with the exception of the Shoeburyness to York trip which is rostered for 46100.

Did something happen during the layover at Cardiff with the support coach? Looks as though Braunton returned to London without its support coach on load 11 vice load 12 on the outward
