It's quite amazing how quickly Network Rail managed to clear the area of vegetation so soon after the incident. [BJ]

Good to see that morning and afternoon trains are now running.

Excellent news and sadly it generates far fewer forum ‘column inches’ (not a criticism of anyone, just an observation). The success of The Jacobite is one of preservation’s finest achievements, and long may it continue.

Agree completely. But that is also why everyone on here might be equally keen to know that future operations are secure into the future and that regulating bodies are now content with what is in place and how it's monitored. (And that is also just an observation, not a criticism.)

Jacobite steam filmed between the 16th and 20th September, between Beasdale and Mallaig, and opening with a particularly fine departure with 45212 on the 1/75 rising gradient

Forecast looks horrendous, so totally correct decision. Hope everyone remains safe and damage is limited.

A fair bit of uphill trekking to get some of those locations. I assume the exhaust at Arnabol Viaduct was by arrangement
