    if you mean 1054 the LNWR coal tank that was scheduled to visit april time this year but had to be cancelled due to issues getting it transported from the KWVR, I believe they couldn't get a police escort sorted. Hopefully something will be sorted for a visit in 2024.

    Worth pointing out that the signalbox at the start of the video is the one severely damaged by fire after an arson attack not so long ago.

    While 45212 is spending the Santa Season on the NVR, the opportunity was taken to put it on the normal passenger service today. Seen at Yacht Club Crossing (between Orton Mere and Overton) on the 1310 to Wansford.

    Looking at the job descriptions, it's hard to see why this post is worth barely more than half that of the MHR's - though I suspect the real answer has to do with available resources.

    It may be all they can afford but it does seem a very low salary for such reponsibilites that also of course include all those volunteer vs paid staff issues we have discussed.

    £125K is pie in the sky for a heritage railway where many work for less than they could get in the wider world. Looking at the Companies House website for obvious candidates for being the highest remuneration, the highest I could find was about £80K, admittedly for the 2022 year. The MHR offer is well up in the top echelon.

    Thomas returned to steam after being stopped for leaking tubes 2 years ago, when it was decided to do a more comprehensive repair to reset the 10 year ticket.
