Wasn’t 7760 put up for sale a few years ago and the asking price was considered a little too much by some?

Buyers market for a pannier at the moment, with Bodmin putting theirs up for sale and 7760 apparently back on the market.....

Now owned by Leaky Finders. Hopefully 6435 and 7760 find a new home soon

That suggests a fairly limited list of potential destinations. Epping & Ongar? KESR? Bluebell? Margate?

Only if you "turn left" when you reach the M25, lots of others if you "turn right"

Yeah, I considered that, but thought it a weird route to take from Tyseley for anything much further west of London.

Kolhapur was withdrawn from Holbeck in 1967, it was only allocated there for one year ish but the Leeds lads got some very decent work out of it, not too shabby for a loco coming to the end of a hard working life.
a bit of useless info. Holbeck was never known as such by us local lads, it was always Nineveh. Why? because the shed entrance was on Nineveh Rd.

Ninevah Bridge to me and my mates. 45593 was transferred to Holbeck in April 1966. It was bit rough, paint wise, but that didn't seem to be the case, mechanically.

Posts elsewhere suggest it's been bought by Stewart Robinson, owner of 80078 and 33202, so possibly on its way to Burnham on Crouch for overhaul?

I never did see it at Holbeck, it was always Sturdee or Alberta but here's a picture taken soon after it arrived at Tyseley. A scan from a rather degraded CT18 slide

It and Alberta were at work at Holbeck on 30th September 1967 when I was there for the last day of steam in the area. As an added bonus, Clun Castle came past the shed on its way to Carlisle. It was notable in those days when it was common for shed staff to paint on nameplates as a replacement for the metal ones that had all been removed, that Kolhapur was running with the name spelt correctly on one side, but spelt as 'Kholapur' on the other.

61306 and 45428 were on duty that day too.
