Bahamas in Airfix Pink wasn’t exactly one for the purists either was it? John I see your point but is it that much of a big deal?
With my EE hat on 20188’s owners haven’t had any grief about it wearing green despite it being delivered in BR blue, a lot of the comments about 37409 in its fictional Scotrail livery have also been rather positive.

60532 in BR might not be one for Rivet Counters but as far I’m concerned they can do one.
The publicity that a certain TV program can give to the next generation when it’s relaunched has the potential to outweigh their negativity.

That was Humbrol’s interpretation of LMS Red back in the 60s. When Blue Peter was overhauled many years ago with the viewers of the TV programme contributing no one mentioned the colour

Possibly because there wasn’t a contribution from the viewers of the TV program…

There was a time when the Blue Peter title sequence included the 'Blue Peter' flying from the mast of a ship ready to sail. It was a lot of years ago, mind.

A pedant writes: in British English it's a television programme whilst computers run a program. In Colonial English 'program' is used for both.

    As you were... ;)

Similarly, I see no upset at the fictional liveries some ex-BR locomotives carried - I recall both KWVR and NYMR liveries? 'Teddy Bear' would approve of this alleged livery for 60532 anyway :)

As much as the livery froth is entertaining, do we know when this loco will be arriving on the SVR? Will it be able to hang around until a certain event in April too? Would turn an already good event into something unmissable..

(BTW: Personally I think it will look fantastic in blue..)

It should turn up for testing soon. It may remain on the railway for the gala, BUT IF IT DOES IT WILL NOT RUN! Just making that abundantly clear!

Errr, eleven hour shift at work here too yesterday, complete with recalcitrant and undocumented power supplies...! :D

Fair enough, for a moment I thought we had our friend from Hampshire with us :)

In all seriousness I would love to see Blue Peter at Bridgnorth some day. It could have happened in the mid nineties and it didn’t, I’m really looking forward to it making an appearance one day on the Teaks though :)
