I know about Rolvenden but can you change trains at Northiam by using the foot crossing when trains cross ie arrive from Tenterden and return there? Or has this been stopped since we last visited some years ago?

 

Northiam -No to foot crossing ( forgotten why)but you can use the level crossing. At the diesel gala some got off at Wittersham Road and waited for the next train from Northiam and photographed the arrival of it. Info provided by one of the signalmen.

 

Robin Coombes has posted on Facebook that Knowle has passed steam test and is now officially in service.

Does anyone know if the large KESR car park at Tenterden will be open before the 09.45 ceremony on Saturday please?

And is there car parking at any other KESR stations?

Car park at Tenterden should be open. Northiam also has a car park. Wittersham Road has some space to park cars. Beyond Rolvenden station, there is a lay by that is usually available.

 

Been confirmed this evening that 76017 is back in one piece, and appears to be good to go.

 

Good job to KESR for pulling both of those off, look forward to visiting this weekend!

Carpark at Tenterden almost full at 9.30 and the station is very busy . A quick shot before joining the queue.
