I did notice it was a bit of a crunch point even after a river bound train had left but a Swanage train was waiting to leave.

Trains had decent loadings, not as packed as I expected. 1130 ex Swanage left about 10 mins late due to late inbound service and delay extended to about 20-25mins this afternoon.
    Cracking gala.

Are both platforms being used at Harmans Cross?

Everything I rode on went through the down platform. Superb event with an amazing collection of locos. The timings gradually slipped - my last departure from Swanage was behind 35006, due at 15:15 but left almost half an hour late. The long section to the River Frome is definitely a highlight, especially bearing in mind the challenging gradients and with the rear loco seemingly providing little to no assistance in most cases. I'm looking forward to returning on Sunday for another dose, so fingers crossed that they all make it through to then with no problems. Has to be a contender for "gala of the century so far" in my book!!

Really enjoyable day yesterday the noise 34072 made on the 1215ish ex Swanage up the 1 in 80 away from Norden dragging 6 plus two large green lumps of ballast will love long in the memory.

My only negative was the bridge at Corfe, something needs to be done about it (I know this isn't just a Swanage issue), as I would imagine that it will be far worse today but it was incredibly annoying to watch the train you wanted being dispatched while you were battling past idiots.

Very impressed that when I got back to the car from some photographing yesterday the 4th item on Nation Radio news at midday was the Bulleid. Even the term Spamcan in the article. So either great work by the railway's press officer or a gricer in the news room. Still mentioned on the 16:00 bulletin as well.

34072 and 34053 have met at Harmans Cross instead of Swanage to hopefully reduce the delay

As much as I love the railway. Who decides on the timetable? Every single gala i've been to they already run up to 30/60 mins late by the end of the day??

For example this gala surely next time services every 50 mins instead of 45 mins would be perfect, but the railway never seems to understand. Especially with the diesel gala which never is on time. For that gala a service to river every 1h 10 mins is needed as they can't run to time when its hourly (including the shuttle)

It’s all part of a long tradition at galas. Who cares, just enjoy the spectacle

Oh just seen that on webcam. From Corfe South cam.

Hopefully she can get up and all will be fine. Not sure if shes falling etc etc but hopefully she will get better and the gala can move forward.

34072 being held at Harmans so it can use plat 2 at Corfe due to the ill passenger on pat 1. Might have to be culled at Nordon the timetable gets bet to time

We finally made it here at lunchtime but got stuck going round the carpark at Norden for ages. Totally full with some unbelievably bad parking wasting loads of spaces. Fortunately we bagged a space as I was getting close to leaving.

The 13.02 35018 to Swanage started at North and is atm at Corfe. guessing either coming to you or your coming to Corfe to Swap

And the 13.00 i'm guessing will stop short at Norden just like the 12.15 did.
