Any plans to display, (or even steam), Andrew Barclay 'Lady Ingrid' to complement the Scottish theme?

No I believe the lady has already left the railway for pastures new (if not she will have done in the very near future)

The sale is underway. As far as we are concerned that is it for the loco as it isn't in an agreement with us anymore. It is just pending the sale being completed and it'll leave.

    Thanks for the update.
Glad I got a brake van ride behind her in February.

A very enjoyable day with the two CR locos yesterday. The railway didn't seem particularly busy, presumably because it was a weekday. I hope, from a commercial point of view, that the three remaining days are busier! But from a purely selfish point of view, I didn't mind at all. It made for a lovely, relaxed atmosphere, so much nicer than most heritage railway galas, where it often feels like a bunfight to get a seat or a spot at the lineside. Thanks to all the hard-working SVR staff who were very friendly and welcoming.

There were only two disappointments. The first was the light was a bit flat for photography; but that's beyond anyone's control, of course. The second was that 419 was painted the wrong colour...[IMG]

Due to a minor defect, 55189 is replaced by D7535 at the moment

No doubt a BR Black loco looks less incongruous coupled to a rake of Mark 1 carriages, but there is no doubt that the older pre-grouping liveries really could be quite stunning. What is quite amazing is that these ornate schemes were applied not just to the express locos but to humble goods engines like 828 (or 65 and 592 on the Bluebell) and suburban tank engines.
