Midland Railway - Butterley

Finally found Swanwick Junc, it's huge and full of interesting stuff (and basket cases). I'll be going again with more time available! Got to ride the class 141 but forgot to photo it

 

Called in at Swanwick today but due to difficulty in parking, anglers cars, and the catering being an uninspiring burger van, did an about turn and left.
Had intended A quick pit stop but not quite as short as it turned out.
This is not the first time this has happened but after a good number of years since the last call I thought some things might have changed.
Did not have time to go elsewhere so Tibshelf services on the M1 had to suffice instead.

 

The target is actually £40,000. Unfortunately, £4,000 would buy you very little in terms of roofing (and a lot of other things) these days.
