From what I saw of that at my last visit the entire appeal could be spent to return this to working order!

The interior still requires some work so won't be into service just yet. With any luck it may be in service for the festive season.

I wonder why all, or most trains on the WSR carry a class A lamp code?

Thats an easy one. As a result of a review of the need to work at height, and the risks involved, class B headlaps have been discontinued and passenger trains now generally carry class A lamps as these can be changed without the need for climbing. If you have ever tried putting a class B lamp on say the bunker of a recently coaled 51xx tank loco you will realise the merit of this (and understand why many old photos of West Country branch lines show the locos sporting light engine code on passenger workings.)

Based on so many reports that people who attend shows by well known comedians who are likely to offend go but then still complain, looks a possible shoe in for negative press to me.
Personally no idea why people attend such things if they are going to get offended by the content.

Inspired by the 'viral' Karen's Diner and selling well I believe. One night is planned at present as a trial. I would hope that the people that book will understand the concept....

Certainly will be something different and I applaud the Sales and Marketing team for trying something new.

I quite agree, although it’s not my cup of tea.
I think that the concept of variations on illuminated trains is very tired now.

Surely the best place to ask is West Somerset Railway Association. If you’re curious then I suggest you email
    them at info@wsra.org.uk

Can someone PM me contact details for the wagon team or wagon manager at WSR? We're trying to put together a comprehensive list of wagon groups and contacts here at NVR for an event we're trying to organise in November. Ta!

I think that if @SebWelsh can’t help you he’ll put you in touch with somebody who can.
