Any chance of providing a roster closer to the event, I'd like to visit when Betton Grange is running... fully appreciate things can change

The timetables normally have the loco allocations on them - so would expect once they're released they'll be on there.

Provisional schedule has 6880 in action throughout the Festival. Other than that, the line-up will change over the course of the gala and the following week. Wissington likely to doublehead with one of the Austerities on Tue, Wed, Thu - not confirmed which one will run on which day yet.

Over the Bank Holiday, the diesel diagram works the goods and is primarily designed to ensure there is a fully crewed and prepped back-up available to ensure the timetable is robust- the passenger services will be scheduled for steam haulage.

The Tue - Sun timetable is on the website with steam/diesel traction indicated - full allocations will follow but much nearer the time.

Gala early bird tickets are on sale and are great value while the two/three day tickets are an absolute steal!

If it's not too late for such a request, any chance the diesel diagram can cover some amount of pax mileage please, however small? Asking for a, erm, friend, who still needs the 25!

Timetable now on website - most loco allocations tbc but Class 25 should be on the diesel turn for at least one of the three days. (It's on the front for a one way trip - basically a positioning move).

6880 allocated to be Steam 3

I wouldn't be surprised if the Austerities are 1 and 2 considering they pair up twice

Looks good even in the rain today. Trains are fairly busy as well.

Always think steam looks better in the rain.

Another busy day today and the Festival continues until next Sunday (1 September) with Betton Grange scheduled to be in action each day.

She is also due to be one of 5 steam locomotives running for Steam Back to the Forties on 21 and 22 September - see https://nnrailway.co.uk/steam-back-to-the-forties/

And Early Bird tickets have gone on sale for the Autumn Showcase on 5 and 6 October which will feature 6 or more engines - https://nnrailway.co.uk/autumn-showcase/
