Should be L150 as the Hall is still awaiting it's annual exam.

How much are ‘bus only’ fares? The website doesn’t seem to say.

The 10th anniversary gala has been pushed back a few days, running as a four-day event from Thursday 2 to Sunday 5 June, owing to a major sporting event in the area over the May weekend that will result in local road closures. 2 June will be a day with Pitchford Hall running alongside some of the Diesel fleet. 3 and 4 June will be the steam gala days, with 75069 from the Severn Valley. 5 June will be a mixed traffic event, with steam and diesel in service. Full details for each day are still to be confirmed, but I've done draft timetables incorporating freight and brake van rides which should hopefully be easily adapted for the new format.

    -------

Yesterday (Sunday 6) saw the Class 20 Loco Society run a member's train with 20227 before it departs for Norfolk.

The Macaw B and crane were sadly unsold, and will be departing for scrapping soon.

Class 14 from the Mid Norfolk as the Autumn Diesel Gala visitor, with D8001 (20 001) making a return to service also.
Wickham Trolley is planned to be operating between trains at Ongar giving rides within station limits as we fundraise for the work to continue repairing and improving that.

03119 departed on Friday, and today 37029 also left, both for pastures new as yet undisclosed. Shame to see two of our earliest diesel locos go, but they each needed more work mechanically and cosmetically then could be achieved in-house, and with increasing space pressures, priority is also being given to ETH fitted diesels for winter operations, of which the 'Tractor' was not. I hope they have gone to good homes.

I never really understood why EOR had a class 37 anyway. Totally over powered for EOR requirements and out of place on what is/was for all practical purposes a 'light' railway (I know it was one of the first acquisitions after Roger took ownership, so perhaps a case of just grabbing whatever was available at the time?).

I also hope they have gone to good homes (and would love to update my Locos DB accordingly, so if anyone knows. . . . )

I think it was partly getting whatever was available to be able to run a railway, but this 37 had been based at Stratford for a time so was a local loco which was part of its appeal. When very little else was available with a connection to the area, it makes its departure all the more bittersweet.
