    No I do not currently volunteer
    As I understand it, 257 squadron would have missed the 70s and 80s. It was withdrawn in 1965 and then was purchased from Barry in 1984 and didn't steam until 1990. It's managed every decade since then, running from 1990 - 2003 and then 2017 - Today

    I think that is the trophy earnt there, doing the same job it was built for on the same railway - phenomenal record!

    Perhaps beaten by TR No 2 Dolgoch?. Has certainly run every decade since preservation in the 1950's and probably every one since the 1860's.
    TR No1 Talyllyn could also be a contender, but I'm not sure if ran in the 1940's without digging my TR books out.

    Wasn’t No.1 put into steam to rescue a failed N0.2 at some point in the 40’s?
