I don’t think enough recognition is given to the presentation of the coaches by Belmond, they are sometimes out several days of the week but always reappear in spotless condition

Very true, there are people in the background in all the charter companies beavering away with little recognition.

Living in the North my tour on the GBXVII was the first time I had seen or travelled with Clan Line and will say I was very impressed indeed and had to buy a few Souvenirs before we left Salisbury. Full marks and thank you to all concerned for an enjoyable day. From previous tours I would say that 'Bahamas' is another Loco that always looks 'straight out of the works'.

Latest news from the MNLPS. <BJ>

''Clan Line will be on display at London Waterloo's platform 19 along with Network Rail's Railway 200 "Inspiration" exhibition train from 10:00 - 17:00 on Friday 18th and Saturday 19th July.
The event is for ticketed guests of the exhibition train only and it is understood that all tickets for the train at this location have now sold out.
The Society has requested that outside of these hours access to the locomotive, including the footplate, for the general public, passers by and rail users of Waterloo station as well as MNLPS members be allowed as far as is practicable, but we are unable to confirm this, at this stage''.

Please note that access to the platform will be monitored to ensure safety on Platform 19.

....but not with red nameplates unless they swap them at Waterloo!

What’s wrong with the red nameplates. I thought Clan Line only used black when she was hauling an excursion?

Nothing except that she left Stewarts Lane for Waterloo in black and there's another Belmond trip on 24th July when she will carry black. It's often red on non Belmond charters.
