    Obviously it depends on the order you put dreckly in the sentence whether it is Cornish or Devonian.

    Next you'll be telling us the correct pronunciation is "scone" and definitely not "scone" ...

    Don’t do that, or the clotted cream wars will break out again…

    Tom, It’s Devon and Cornwall, they don’t worry about such things - far more important is which way round the jam and cream goes ;)

    I asked the maid in dulcet tone
    To order me a buttered scone;
    The silly girl has been and gone
    And ordered me a buttered scone.

    If only the trustees had said all those years ago 'we will build an extension dreckly ' we wouldn't have been living with false promises, just trying to keep the topic 'on thread ' lol

    Now, now - it's only been about 20 years since the last one, we don't want to be too hasty about such things do we..... :)

    I haven't come across a dispute over original content. Meat, potato, swede, and gravy : does that make I Deb'n or Cousin Jack ?

    Does anyone have an update on progress with the carriage shelter? Updates were fairly regular, but suddenly stopped, and there doesn't appear to have been anything since the beginning of August. As a donor to the project, I'm quite anxious to see this completed before the worst of the weather really kicks in.
    Any news would be much appreciated. Ta.
