    Rebuilt Royal Scot class (The new 'Rebuilt Scot' design was carried out under the auspices of William Stanier, who was then engaged on war work, so was actually undertaken by George Ivatt and E.S. Cox.)

    Yes I am an active volunteer
    I'd suggest that 6223 is at Crewe North shed rather than the Works. I don't know when it began but all the Pacifics were eventually sent to Crewe North for Piston and Valve Exams (P&V) and it's one of these happening here.

    Getting at those inside cylinders looks like fun!
