Just checking that there is no Royalty on board as it's usually just the Royal Train that doesn't have public timings...

Pleasantly surprised to see no pathing stop at Grayrigg, though that could change on the day. A water stop at Lancaster on the return feels like a first. Hopefully a nice leg stretch ? before a standing start on the 1/94 ?

Got a distant memory of a water stop for 46229 on a Days Out tour in the mid 1990s. We lost count of the slips but got away eventually without having to call for assistance.
Bit vague and as we're in Premier Inn Central here in Crewe can't access my rail tour mega spreadsheet.

Probably Sat 19 October 1996, much slipping on departure with load 11.

They made the mistake on the day of joining the Main line at the start of the climb up Lancaster bank.
I was waiting near Galgate for it.
I recall seeing a video of it slipping at Bridge Road Lancaster making a lovely impersonation.of a giant Catherine Wheel

D213 at the north end of Euston this morning, once 71000 is on it’s a load of 10 unassisted, should be a good day!

The recent Lakes Express on 12 September watered twice at Lancaster once on its way from Carlisle to Barrow and then again from Barrow to Chester
