4566 due to visit the South Devon Railway and appear at the Rails and Ales event next weekend. Loco booked to operate on all three days, including a Saturday evening "Pie & Mash" special.

Interesting as it can't be spared for the WSR Gala

But Erlestoke Manor is at the WSR Gala so they lose one loco, like 4566 going to the SDR.

Says on the SDR loco roster that 4566 is booked to work over the Heritage Transport Gala, is this correct as there is no mention on the event's page and 4247 is visiting?

Yes this is correct. 4566 will be staying on for the Transport Gala on September 12th & 13th, and will also be joined by 4247 from Bodmin. Also in steam should be 1369, 5786, 5526 and 3803, with Sulzer Type 2 D7612 also out on one trip. More details just as soon as we get over this weekend's Rails'n'Ales event.

Apparently 4566 requires the services of a wheeldrop for an unspecified reason, hence it will be using the one at Buckfastleigh.

Maybe a quick tyre turning job?

Just underlines how urgently a wheel drop is required at Bridgnorth.

Does this mean 4566 won't be working this weekend? She doesn't feature in the WTTs that I downloaded off the SDR website.

Yes she replaces 3803 so where you see 3803 it will be 4566!
