    Hi Aaron
    How many were there?
I have the following sheeted at SL. Where they are located exactly and whether they still are sheeted or others now sheeted I can't be 100% sure.

    238 - Phyllis
    264 - Ruth
    286 - Car No 86
292 - Car No 92 (going to Belgium for restoration ??)

Hmm, obviously more of them now then. I'd suggest the ones I listed are part of the 6. I'll see if I can find any more info.

Well done Richard. Car 83 looks correct. 93 is in Belgium under restoration. The only other carriage at SL with a stored status is 239, Agatha. So this looks like all 6 accounted for? This does of course only apply if they were all pullman cars!

Car number 83, is at keighly and worth. car number 93 might be correct because it is on the vintage carriage trust website as being at Stewarts lane, so it looks like it has came back?

LOL are we going to figure this out Aaron? Hmm ok lets start again....
Firstly the 83 you mention at the KWVR is a different one. The 83 Richards mentioned is better known as 283, Mona.

This leaves us with 5 probables...

    238 - Phyllis
    239 - Agatha
    264 - Ruth
    283 - Mona (83)
    286 - Car No 86

This leaves a bit of conflict with 292 & 293. Has 293 returned from Belgium & 292 taken it's place? Is 293 still in Belgium and 292 still at SL waiting to go. Or possibly one of the two was even hidden in the shed which really messes up what ones you saw?
I've put a couple of feelers out so we'll see what comes back.

Ok the good news is I've confirmed what is there.
The 5 I listed plus 292 & 293 are at SL. This gives us 7 vehicles not in the main operating pool. 292 & 293 both went to Oostend Belgium, at RSI the former wagon Lits works. RSI went under and both carriages wer returned to SL. 292 was the only one to receive any attention. Confirmed sheeted are......

    238 - Phyllis
    239 - Agatha
    264 - Ruth
    286 - Car No 86
    292 - Car No 92
    293 - Car No 93
    Not confirmed....
283 - Mona (83) was in the shed but not 100% definate now?

Just so you don't get confused, this is NOT a coach.

Do they cut holes in the fabric to let the driver see out?

No, the holes are in the engine room floor, cos' that's where the pedals are.

Speaking of coaches from Stewarts Lane, ex-Mechanical Engineers RSE Section Instruction Car Bulleid Brake 2526 (which was based at the Lane from 1974 to 1999) will be making its first run in preservation tomorrow evening at the Bluebell! Huzzah

    73211

Listen I know this isn't about coaches, but does anyone know what's happening currently with 73211 and what the future holds? I know its had no power unit since withdrawal (I believe, since it moved to Eastleigh from god knows where, someone could tell me if they know) but what kind of condition is it in?

And is it possible to get pictures of it at all or is Stewarts Lane too secure/the loco undercover STILL? If its undercover I shan't bother trying to visit.

It might be behind the second 508 from the left.

211 is allocated as spares for amongst others 210 now at Mid Norfolk. It is still wrapped in it's cocoon and will remain like this so you are not likely to get a photo even if you can gain access to SL.

What a shame. I'll just play the waiting game and wait for it to move out.
