I see its coming from york to hellifield Sat am, north to carlisle, east via hexam and then via darlington to york, after which it goes to Neville Hill LE. I assume for an open day , also as 60009 cant make it, its to make up for it.
any corrections to my assumptions appreciated.

Does anyone know if there is any particular significance in Oliver Cromwells name plates having both a red and black background?

I understand that, in different times in BR service, the Brit ran with both nameplates red and both black. The present arrangement seems an excellent way of maintaining both traditions.

Nice to see a Brit on Neville Hill today - no A3s or K1s though.
