I emailed Spitfire and they said it would either be 48151 or 46115. I'd certainly prefer the scot.

UK Steam Info states it will be either 5690 or 46115. But I was on 'The Yorkshire Scot' on Sunday and got talking to 1 of the stewards and he told me that 46115 has no more booked work for this year.

The 8F is new to me!

    Does it really matter?

Steam over the loop just hours before it closes is what's important

There was a unique and rare working over Copy Pit this afternoon - first time in twenty three years - Portsmouth to Portsmouth for only the second time ever - this time recorded on film though.

We have had confirmation today, that Scots Guardsman will be the train engine for the Witch Way on Oct 3rd.

Accomodation is available in both classes for all sections of the journey.

    Thanks,
    James.

Looking forward to it, and very tempted by the mini-tours. Will you be able to turn up on the day for them, subject to space?

Just out of interest, why is it called the Witch Way? It doesn't pass through Pendle at all.....

Passing through Calderdale, Burnley, Hyndburn then Blackburn - never touches Pendle!

As an aside, perhaps a advertising opportunity for Transdev here for the flagship X43 Manchester service? Logo as a headboard?

Begs the question where is it out of gauge, as 46115 has already done most of the route on the charter earlier this year? Probably Blackburn - Darwen - Bolton. Harold.
