Strange thing though there were several guys with video cameras in the photters gallery, and they some of the guilty ones.
Seems they don't start recording until you can see the whites of the drivers eyes........

The answer is simple, just before you're about to start recording ask anyone within earshot not to talk or you'll walk in front of them when they're taking a shot.

Seriously though make it known that you're using video and that you'll tell them when you're starting to record, sometimes it's not obvious.

Of course this doesn't work when children are around!

Theres something 'natural' with kids as background noise though ? A number of Peter Handfords sound recording have kids in the background until a shrieking whistle blocks em out ! LOL Love my Argo EP's and LP's !

I usually just ask before it comes, just say something like "I'm doing a video so could we just be quiet when its coming, cheers" and then tell them when you start, usually works,if you ask respectfully.....

It was certainly raining at Gilsland for 70013 but I got away with cloudy at Bardon Mill for 6233. However, I have seen some photos of both locos in sun prior to Hexham so there were patches about to the East.

Hi. Sorry I haven't replied sooner. No worries. Gresley was amazing. It was the first time I have seen steam on the East Coast Mainline and Gresley certainly gave me a treat. Yeah Hope to bump into you on the lineside in the not too distant future. How was the bike racing?
