Exactly... I for one would like a two-for-one on the Princess Coronations one day. Nothing like a bit of history in the making!

Looks like GBIII is making a feature of "foreign" motive power: SR double-header on the GWR, Royal Scot on SR & GW lines, a Brit on GNS and Highland lines, an A4 on the WCML. SG and the Black 5s are the only ones on true home territory, though the K4 has made the line to Kyle a "home from home" in recent years. It won't be to everyone's taste, but it should make for a fascinating tour. Steam Age Pictures and friends are already planning their route.

It does seem a shame that there's no GW locos this year - maybe RTC are planning "The Great Western" later in the year?

BTW, it's taken far too long to produce but the Steam Age Pictures DVD of GBII is finally ready for publication. Copies will be dribbling off the production line as soon as I replace the ink cartridge in my printer. TBirdFrank has an early copy and hasn't made any complaints, so it must be OK ;-) (Did you spot the deliberate mistake, Frank?)
