I have received my ticket for Tornado from Pathfinder, who say the loco will come off at Preston.

Times quoted are Carlisle dep 1710, Warrington 2055, Crewe 2155. (Preston is not a formal set-down point.)

    Cheers

An hour from Warrington to Crewe, that must be a mistake...

    No Tickets!

No tickets received in todays (Monday 5 Oct) post. Will email RTC for a coach number at least if haven't come by Wednesday. In desperation will phone Friday!

Best to keep an eye on UKSteam.info. A very useful site, if you've not found it already.

    Tickets today!

Received our tickets today. Coach K. Next to support coach one way, but there's only 10 coaches plus support. Light load for a Duchess. Might test a green loco, but not a red one.

    Bill.

Good to you hear your tickets have arrived Bill, hopefully ours will have arrived today as well, will post up later when I get home.
When I phoned a couple of weeks ago I asked if we could be allocated seats towards the front of the train for one direction, fingers crossed!
    Neil.

i've just had to cancel as the preston stop no longer exists, something i am not very impressed with especially as my next opportunity to travel with duchess of sutherland will be many moons away, very disappointing.

I'm in coach K, too. Seat 11B with back towards Carlisle. Have to leave Swansea at 03:59 to get to Crewe in plenty of time (unless I can have a bit of shut-eye on this train, I'll probably be running on adrenaline from 15:00 onwards!). Its made me think that my overnight stop in Shrewsbury on the Saturday night was a shrewd move.

Possibly because they have arrived through my letterbox today Ralph ;)

Coach K, seats 13/14B and 14F for Ralph, Matt and self.

09.19 off Crewe, I expected the 10am ish slot so will have to look at the train times to Crewe again shortly, off to my sons footy training now....

    Neil.

I'll be travelling down from Preston Neil - so will see you no doubt !

My ticket arrived today. I am amazed that I got it to be honest. The letter had clearly been mangled in some sort of postal sorting machine and had a 4 inch tear in it that the ticket could easily have fallen out of :-( Still its here, and thats all that matters.

Does anyone know who the crew are for Saturday or is it just a case of wait and see? I'm booked on it from Euston. Can't wait!

Rumour is that it will be Bill and Frank, but don't hold me to that.
