    i think this is a really good idea, but why not take it further, by using modern componants, re build it with the type of valve ger that would work best with a high speed steam engine and lubricant systems and fit a giesel ejector , it can be done to not look so out of place from the outside i would even go to the point of roller bearings on axles if they are better than plain bearings, lubrication can be improved where needed , after all modern seals are better made than originals , whilst it would still look like a bulleid it would be easier to run , and prepare and more fuel efficient
