Summer 2010 sees the 70th anniversary of the Battle Of Britain and the RAF Association (and maybe the RAF itself) are looking to make something of the event. I believe there are nine of Bulleid's BB class locos in assorted stages of preservation / restoration.

Just a suggestion that the loco owners might want to involve their loco and join in celebrations somehow with their nearest RAFA Branch for August & September 2010.

Have a word with the owners of 34023 and 34059??? So where would these be held? Nearest RAF base would be Shoreham?? Wouldn't it be better to get the all running bulleids together with BoB name plates and get them running together on a preserved line with a marked fly-past???

although plenty of people seem to think aviation history in the UK started with the Battle of Britain
