Cant see any mention of this elsewhere, just a few shots of Clan Line on the VSOE at Barnes and Woking. (around 15 late at Barnes and near enough on time at Woking)

Heard it was very late coming into Victoria-in which case everyone must have scrambled on board to get it out.

35028 CLAN LINE at Victoria Station.

    Hello All,

I have added a few photographs to my fotopic website of Merchant Navy Class 4-6-2 35028 CLAN LINE, I took when she arrived back at Victoria Station yesterday afternoon, after hauling a VSOE railtour to Guildford and back.

Please click on the link and hopefully enjoy; http://preservedrailwaylocomotivephotosbyrichardsmith.fotopic.net/c1777610.html

    Best regards SteamHawk216.

Thanks,SteamHawk..always nice to see the end journey sometimes back at the terminus.Pity the old Vic looks like a workman's scrapyard at the moment during improvements there.

    Well done...

Could I ask people not to use the word "today" (or similar) on the subject line - it gets very confusing when today becomes yesterday

Apparently the ECS from Stewarts Lane was late arriving. 12' late start from Victoria, 25' L Clapham Jn waiting a path through Longhedge Jn and waiting for a clear run from Culvert Road to Clapham Jn - as per local signalling instructions.

The work at Victoria (Eastern) is for refurbishing the station roof, making good many years of basic maintenance.

The performance by Clan Line wasn't as outstanding as it appears; there is 19 minutes pathing time between Virginia Water and Byfleet Jn!

    Cheers, Neil

35028 CLAN LINE at Victoria Station. Friday, 6th.November. 2009.

Thank you for your comments. Glad you liked the photographs. Yes, the scaffolding at Victoria had to be seen to be believed. I was on a personal daytrip from Plymouth to the capital, catching up with modern traction, for example Class 395 Javelins at St.Pancras International etc.
So with 35028 CLAN LINE into Victoria on Friday, I had to divert south across London, to see her also it was my first visit to Victoria Station for over forty years.
Hoping to get further images of her at Westbury, when she hauls another VSOE Special from Victoria to Bristol, on this coming Wednesday 11th.November 2009.

    Regards SteamHawk216.
