60007 - The Xmas Tynesider - 19/12

For those wanting to catch units back from the cross tomorrow,i didn't really take much notice but i saw a gen post that said the 22:22 to P'boro is not running tomorrow night.

If my calculations are right (they probably arent!) the 47 is booked to miss the connection at KX by 4 mins (onto the 21:22). I think after 21:22 they are terminating at Huntingdon? Who knows,i didn't really take time to read it. But for those thinking of going to the Cross when they could get off further north,might i advise you think again.....

 

Left on time. Slipped on Holloway Bank, rapid acceleration thereafter. Suspect a shove fRom the rear. Too bliddy cold to stick my head out to see if we've brought the 47 with us....!

 

More or less on time at Stevenage...

 

2 early Huntingdon

 

Was freezing my nuts off in the allotments north of the station but got a nice sound recording. About 5 late on the SVG departure and yes you do have a box on the back.
Looking forward to 19 in sun and snow later. Hope it's on time otherwise the first cooking of chips will be a tad late this lunchtime.

60525 , appears their was a lot of time dropped between Retford and Donny . Was this due to an overlong water stop or perhaps the weather ? York to Darlington timed at 60 minutes so hopefully a chance to make up some time .
