    Hi all,

I have uploaded a video of a journey to Looe in July 1994:

A DMU that actually has some character and sounds something like,a world away from todays procession of crap!

    Cheers,

Thanks very much for sharing that. I miss the old dmus.

I travelled this branch in 1994, won't say exactly when, and came back on the last train of the day, which always went ecs from Liskeard to Laira for the night. I was the only one on it. As we approached Liskeard, the conductor said 'do you mind if we drop you on the main station platform to save going into the branch platform?' Mind? Covering the loop through the goods yard onto the main line was a privilege denied even to railtours! As I got off a couple of enthusiasts looked green with envy. I think this was since relaxed for a 37 hauled railtour in 1997 or so.

I think there is still a goods train to Moorswater for cement traffic on Thursdays, but check before making a special journey. Still a beautiful line, but not the same when you can't see through the end windows.

Cheers,I bet they were! Really lovely line, not been down for a few years (about 6 or 7) but it was always a nice run.

The Moorswater Cement is run by FL on Wed's/Thursdays (one or the other i think) and is usually a fairly reliable runner.

    Due of Moorswater at 15:30...
    Cheers,

It's a cracking little line - full of charm and idiosyncracies - I've only travelled on it in a 153 but it was still brilliant - recommended to anyone visiting the area.
