IIRC I think the plan was for 44871,44932 and the NYMR were going to let 76079 do some of the Cambrians as well I think. Not sure it is 100% about 76079 but it seems the Black 5s are most likely.

That's what it said Heritage Railway magazine a few months ago, but nothing official has been announced yet.

Surely if 44932 were to be availible, it would be heading to Fort William so that's one less loco WCRC need to hire ?, i'd also be suprised if 76079 is allowed to leave the Moors in high summer, so can't see anything other than wall to wall 44871.

Maybe they could do a swap on these two locos 44932 going to the moors and 76079 going to do the Cambrians both parties sorted ?

This trip shows pickups at Woking and Basingstoke, so i will not be as good as May, but still should be a good path compared to the usual paths. We should have a better run after Basingstoke since the service train that slowed us down in May ( assuming timetable does not change significantly), should be out the way. Water stop will probably be Salisbury rather than Grateley.

Salisbury I think will def be the water stop - I have a feeling who the driver and Fireman might be.

I'm not too sure about this trip behind 35028 now. If it was via Southampton both ways, I would have done it. I think I'll save money for 34067 to Weymouth and Exeter in July.

Just had a look on UK steam to find provisional trips by Vintage trains. (Not on their Website currently)

5043 hauling trips on friday16th, saturday 17th and sunday 18th april with the saturday trip being a Bristolonian in association with First Great Western.

Another interesting one is on Saturday 29th May with 70013 from Tysely to Didcot via Worcester and Kemble with 9600 as Banker from Bromsgrove to a point still to be decided.
