Does anyone have confirmation that tomorrow's VSOE special via the Surrey Hills is going ahead as planned?

South West trains have no services running between London and Dorking today, but tomorrow there should be little or no new snow and as Tornado and Tangmere have proven in Kent, they can show the electrics the way! I have every hope she'll run, I've got a new location I want to try out.

Not sure if I'll chance the Kent roads to get to Surrey.

And I do wonder if it will run: I wonder how many of the passengers have to use third rail trains to get to Victoria for it!

Nothing on the VSOE or UKSteam sites, yet.

More snow is forecast for the Surrey Hills tomorrow - conditions may be quite interesting to say the least.

Forecast now says no snow for Guildford area until late this evening, still no word on UKSteam. Must presume it's a runner then, I'll be at Hackhurst Farm if anyone is interested. Nice and cold too, good exhaust effects.

I have just called the number that is advertise don the VSOE website http://www.orient-express.com/web/uktr/journeys/4_112698.jsp and according to that the train is still running. I fancy Hackhurst Bridge too but not sure about getting my little Citreon round those lanes. I am only about 12 miles from there and the snow we have had has been very heavy

Thanks for posting Simon. Nice to see Clan Line ran OK. Would love to have gone and photted her on Gomshall, but as forecast it's been snowing quite hard here in Mid Kent and I just don't trust the authorities to keep even the main roads open.

That was my plan, but after being flagged down by the occupants of a car that had skidded off one of the main roads in our area , caution got the better of me (well she who must be obeyed actually) :) and I walked the 10mins to the bridge rather than take the car to Gomshill. The cold wind meant my son and I were the only ones out to see the VSOE in Woking.

We didn't make it up the lane on wheels either, someone was coming down as we went up, we stopped to let them by and then couldn't get going again, so we parked at the bottom and walked up, it was a bit nippy too, -5 or so with windchill.

Shot from Chilworth earlier. I had to clear about 4 inches of snow off the side of the bridge just to see over the top!
