Here is a vid of V2 4771 'Green Arrow' proving why it is just about the best Gresley designed loco in preservation as it powers up the 1 in 100 to Blea Moor past Helwith Bridge.

With 12 on the hook as well! Impressive. Shame the NMR can't afford to replace a cylinder. I wonder what all their money is committed to?

Great to see a vid of 4771 working again.

I think she was very much an enthusiasts favourite, so a great shame that she now has to sit idle until someone with a lot of money in their back pocket comes along.

Im sure if an appeal was created, lots would try to chip in to raise funds to get a new cylinder casting to put her back where she belongs on the main line......but until then i guess we just have to sit and wait.

Another nice clip. Nothing beats the sound of a big Gresley 3-cylinder loco working hard, especially if it has a single chimney.

No, no! Stuff anything GWR and have both 4472 and 4771 running. Perhaps sell Lode Star to fund 4771's new cylinder block.
