Haven't seen mention of this elsewhere on here. 46115 is now down on the SD website as working the CE to Carlisle in place of 60019. Might have to do this one......... Just hope it doesn't go too early from London.

I would be very surprised if 46115 Scots Guardsman worked this Steam Dreams train to Carlisle on 2 September. 46115 is already booked to haul RTC's West Highlander Steam Express out of Liverpool LIme Street at 0930 the following morning [Friday 3 September] and then stay in Scotland until Monday 6th September to work the RTC train train back South.

On the topic of new Cathedral express tours, on uk steam it lists that on sun 18th July Tangmere is now going to weymouth not exeter. However from yeovil down to weymouth and back up to wareham, it looks as if there will be an additional engine to the train. Have they took the idea from RTC's provisional plans to bank out of Weymouth perhaps?

on Sunday 18 July Tangmere will take us down to Yeovil Junction (which will be celebrating its 150th anniversary) before double heading with Sir Lamiel to Weymouth, from where both locos will bring the train out later in the day as far as Wareham. This will be a fabulous day out with the best of Southern Steam, two wonderful routes and the traditional great atmosphere on-board our Green Train.

    Oh errrr

I like the look of this lot, finally sir lamiel going solo to swanage and another loco, probably 34067 bringing it back. And the pair of them double heading around the south.

Ooh, luxury. If only RYTC were more organised and had made it a regular thing.

if you read their website you will find that amongst their other regular summer tours this year they are running the dorset coast express, but probably haven't confirmed details yet, as they have just changed the route for the scarborough flyer which they have managed to run for the last two years, then i think we'll have to be patient, but should be worth the wait.
