70013 on The Sussex Belle 24 Feb

I see from uksteam.info that Tangmere is "unavailable" and 70013 is now booked for this one.

That should be a cracking run on the Hastings-Tonbridge gradients!

 

Yes fantastic news, I will hopefully be booking next week. It was a good run in december with 34067 which im sure Olly will more than match.

 

Just found a new trip advertised by RTC, using 70013 to Fort william from Edinburgh over the weekend of saturday 24th and sunday 25th april.

Does anybody have the timings for Ollie on the 24th Feb? between Tonbridge and Hastings?

 

UKSteam a day or two prior to the run is your best bet.

Anyone know what's up with Tangmere?
I assume she's up north for a routine service?

 

IIRC she was delayed getting up to Carnforth for winter maintenance because of the snow. Also, they may have found a few things that need doing that they didn't expect - or that will take longer than they expect. Not the sort of thing that WCRC usually discuss in public, though.

On the one hand, this time of year there's not so much going on, so possible replacement locos less likely to be busy already. On the other, many of the mainline fleet are also having winter maintenance or else are land-locked at their winter bases and would need a lorry to get out. Presumably, Ollie was booked to leave the GCR about now anyway - isn't she going to the ELR this month?
