Hmmm, carbonised croutons. I'll ask the bar people at the White Horse what the going rate is for it... And maybe sell the smuts collected en-route to them as a delicacy!

Anyone got any more confirmed info on this or is it just wishful thinking?

Pullmans are usually at the NORTH end of the formationbut that's on the assumption that the stock hasn't been turned and isn't due to be before the date.

I've always assumed, for tours originating at Tyseley Warwick Road with its short platform, that'is because they don't want nasty standard class passengers trooping through the Pullmans when the tables have been set for breakfast (it doesn't matter when the train arrives back n the evening).

I wouldn't call standard class passengers 'nasty'.....maybe not the sort of 'gentlemen' you'd want your daughter to bring home.....but that's a different matter. :bounce:

So is there any support for a meeting of the "freeloaders" and the "paying customers" in London as discussed further up the thread?

Hmmm, could be a case of camera bags over a cream tea at the White Horse...

So who may be in London for a couple of pints then?

    Neil.

Well on this one I will be "freeloading" at Olympia so if there is a meet up I will try and make it.

Has anyone got a placard? The amount of Nat Pres people creeping out of the woodwork for this trip should make it fairly similar to a group going on one of those package holidays ;)! You know the types, those who seem to trudge around the resort single file on their first day...

Well if you are wearing your Nat Pres sweatshirt it will make recognition easy... And yes I will have mine on.

That is very bad news indeed. I'm sure there will be plenty of room for more people needing consolation at the bottom of a beer glass after seeing 6021 off to Clapham ;) (PS. This is in jest)!
