Another trip to the Tanfield Railway which saw 'Sir Cecil. A Cochrane' in service again, the weather was rather disappointing... Thanks to Henry for his photo location advice.

I've uploaded 2 shots from today and the rest are available on the Winter Steam DVD now available as the first edition of the 2010 Series. A DVD trailer is to be uploaded tonight.

Can I also ask the reason to why 'Renishaw' has been in steam both times i've visited the railway? Back up engine?

I'm sure someone from Tanfield will reply. My understanding was that it was being steamed to prove a repair/adjustment - nothing serious I hasten to add. I am (sadly) confident that they do not keep a spare loco in steam.

Nice photos BTW considering the weather

Thanks for the reply, it just seemed strange that on the two occasions I'd attended the railway it was out in steam.
