That is respect. Chris has done an excellent job with the wagons, and his input into the website was always helpful.

Oh - and it's actually Adobe Flash now ;)

Only since 2005 when Adobe purchased Macromedia!

I find Flash very gimmicky myself and use Click to Flash – other Flash blockers are available – to stop it loading on my browser. Flash is, more-often-than-not, only used for adverts, so no loss! Sorry NP as I notice some of your advertisers use it.

Before anyone says you can't view YouTube without Flash the blocker gives you the option to load any Flash file you want to see.

Having just looked at the MHR website today the first of the Gala I like the idea of the intro graphics for Tornado. It may be cheesy to use others terms but it works . It does make it a modern and inovative web site.
Lets hope the improved content carries on with all the regular and new updates.
I know lots of the comments made about it are being looked at and noted.Onwards and upwards from here.

I read the latest Loco Shed update by Dave Currie the other day. It was quite long but very informative to somebody like me who is not steeped in the ways of steam locomotives. This was Dave's second update and I was looking forward to his next. I went to re-visit it tonight to re-read and it's gone. It has been removed and I wonder why ? Can somebody who knows, reply.

    Many Thanks

This is a loco shed update.

73096 to be taken into wheeldrop this weekend to take off front bogie in order to place new cylinder on frames. Work on douglas' chassis progress' mainly on thursdays and fridays with 1/2 men working on it. U class tender is now in paintshop ready for painting. Tornados support coach leaves next tuesday. 76017 is still being stripped. The boiler dept. of 4/5 men is working solely on the u class boiler in the hope that it could be ready by september. And are hoping to get to work on douglas' boiler soon.

The 45-ton crane was out yesterday to install a new bogie underneath the bubble car. And Pway teams are working on connecting up the new boilershop to the network with 2 exits.

60019 being prepped for mainline run. 73096 has had smokebox door ring replaced, and wheels repainted. Lots of space in workshops now.

850 also worked a special hire train, this website wont let me load up photos.

    Think thats all.

Thanks for the update James. I am particularly interested in the progress of 76017.

i believe that they are loosening the cylinders to take them off, as they were in the smoke box.

850 and 5224 should be on service trains. 92212, 60019 being away, 34007 under repair and 30075 being too weak and it doesnt have its blow down valve, though that doesnt stop anything happening i dont think.

Is 30075 being used for regular driver experience use or anything like that? Because it seems the only time it's on service trains is doing those shuttles at the galas and that can't be very satisfying for the owning group?

It should get use on driver experiences which run on most weekdays during the spring, summer and autumn. But, believe it is to be hired out to other railways during the summer when not required.

I quite agree with your sentiments about it not being used though Jark91
