    What lovely shots :).
Also, it's nice to see two S&D locos together again, I must get up there with my camera.

Slight alteration to loco allocations for next few weeks:

    44422 - Running Jan 17th, 24th and 31st & 28th Feb

73050 - Running 7th Feb and all half term week

25th April should see both loco's operating together for a 'Pines Express S&D Day'. An additional guest loco may also appear for the event too :)

Hey yeah I will. I'm praying that a 3rd S&D loco will be able to star at the event. The day should see only the mk1's being used (naturally) with double heading etc etc. I hope the freight set will be out too. I'll update as and when info gets to me.

I was going to upload a couple of shots of the 4F from yesterday but the forum software won't play ball. It tells me I've used 6.1MB of 728KB! Don't you just love progress.

Really good news about the Austerity 0-6-0ST. Do you have any more information about it please? Where is it coming from, how long it will be staying, and where was its working life? I can't find this engine on Google at all!!!

I'm also interested in the resident NVR Austerity 75006, the Swedish B class, and the well-advanced project to construct Wisbech and Upwell Tramway ?Y6 tram engine - what are the plans and state of play for these?

B17 61606 I'll try and answer info about each loco lol

    Austerity No. 22
Was recently overhauled in Scunthorpe and has 2 owners. I don't think its got any connection with the steel works etc but I may be wrong. Its in maroon livery and its currently duel braked and should be on the railway for some time :) I'll let you know more as and when i get info.

    Austerity 75006
Currently awaiting overhaul while the air pump is currently in use in 73050.

    Swedish B Class 101
Awaiting overhaul although boiler tubes have been removed for assesment of the boiler for potential fast track overhaul.

    Tram Engine
Work currently stopped and has been for some time pending funding on the boiler.

    Hope this helps :)

Thank you for that. I'm really pleased that the motive power situation seems to be easing. Looking forward to the S&D event, will definitely be there for that one.

Yeah considering last year we had just 73050 and 1800 running. We still got the Polish Tkp to come back to service too in the next couple of months so should give us a fleet of 5. If your visiting sometime and I'm about I'll show you round the sheds and yard to show you the loco's you mentioned if it helps?

markjkirby, thanks for the picture link. Looks very smart, I must admit to having a soft spot for the Austerities!

Wansfordman, thank you for your kind offer but I've recently started volunteering at the NVR each week and haven't been able to resist poking around the shed already... Regarding the Y6 tram engine, I was surprised to see it tucked away near the back out of public view, especially as it had information panels and collection box attached! I was worried the project had died a death. I'm pleased this isn't the case but maybe finishing and painting up the bodywork rather than the boiler would help encourage publicity and funds for the mechanicals? It would surely get a news photo or even possibly a feature in the major magazines with details of where to send donations??

Is there any news on Tinkerbell? All seems to have gone quiet lately, or have I missed something?

B17 61606 The tram loco is prob at the back of the shed out of public view coz the shed and yard are closed to visitors and probably due to the little work and more important projects taking place its down the list of priorities :)

Regarding Tinkerbell its ready to be put back together but the volunteers have been working on getting the steam crane finished (its nearly done). This would then free the new overhaul shed up in which Tinkerbell should then come in. The cab roof is done but the boiler needs to be sent away and this will prob be the next task. I'll see if I can get an update to post on here for you.
