Saw brit at Lolham Bridges earlier today, pic to be posted a bit later.

Any idea why all northbound trafic was on the slow line in the lolham area. Southbound was fine with both fast and slow lines being used?

If someone taking pics at Crewe HC is lucky enough tonight, with 70000 boiler just been lifted into the frames the two could possibly be shot next to each other once cromwell arrives from its duty today.

Thats a thought I could pull 70000 out of the shed whilst I'm waiting for 70013 to arrive.

I believe its running around 44 down at the moment.

Had a great day out too, loads of noise from OC and some fine running by the crews. Shame about the lateness arriving at Cleethorpes and after, not the loco's or Network rail's fault.

Thanks to all involved for excellent trip.

Alberta 45562 where you the guy who bailed from coach B at Grantham to catch a Leeds train?

Slightly disappointed about this trip due to the very short time at Cleethorpes, which deserved a longer look than what we had. The original schedule was for a couple of hours there when booked but due to the hold ups it ended being just 15-20 minutes. Despite the warnings some folks were caught out and I think four folks in our carriage got left behind. None of the delay was the fault of RTC who ran things as efficiently as ever.

A good day out, despite only 29 minutes at Cleethorpes (managed to get fish and chips to eat on the front, get a drink, and take some photo's). Arrived back at Tottenham Hale (connection for the Victoria Line) 20 minutes late.

We were told the long hold short of Grimsby was a woman threatening to kill herself. Looking at some bits around there I'm not surprised. Aloso informed as we left our brief stop At Cleethorpes that 70013 couln't coal there because of the crush on the platform! Possibly, but maybe we were not in the right one. The Scotsman playing the the bagpipes with a Lincolnshire accent didn't help. I think they must had good warning as the coal supply had reached Barnetby by the time Olly got there. Great fun day out. seriously!

Yes it was a good day out, but Coaling & watering the Loco at the buffer stops was never going to happen, you need space to do it & generely with the loco off the train. all the arangement for the servicing were probley made before the enforced route / reversal changes were made. West Coast whould have been aware that is was going to be a problem & no doute inform Nigel of this & eather forgot or just didn't bother to his stewards this.
RTC a professional tour oporater? baa humbug
