25th March - 6201 on the Cath Ex

Firstly, anyone know any good locations as she climbs Gomshall Bank on the outbound run?

 

Between Dorking and Gomshall you get a good view of the line from Ranmore Common...

We parked in a National Trust carpark up there, loads of views to be had all along.

 

That's a superb view, thanks for that Ashley. Can definitely imagine Lizzie making a racket up there.

 

We are booked on this run as mentioned on another thread. Steam Dreams site is now saying it's nearly full up so don't hang about if you want to go on this trip.

 

Does anyone know anything about the LE moves for this trip? Is Lizzie still in Carnforth? Or is she already at Southall?

That thing called the weather doesn't seem that bright judging by Thursday's forecast.

 

On UK steam info. a move for 6201 from Crewe to Southall is now booked for Wednesday.

 

Does anyone know the details of the route and the times for tomorrow's move to Southall?

 

I thinks its leaving Crewe around 1200, then running down the WCML and then to Tyseley for servicing, where it will stay until the early evening before continuing its journey to Southall. I have no more info at present I'm afraid.
