After visiting GCR for the first time to see the Lostock gala and get some shots, how do you go about on getting a lineside pass as i will be travelling up again this weekend to see gala?

    Cheers

You won't get one this weekend, so don't trespass. Go to Woodthorpe/Kinchley Lane. You can pick up a form from the booking office at Loughborough though, fill out it, send it to them and you should get it back in the post in a couple of weeks.

Many thanks Tony for info. I only went to Woodthorpe / Kinchley lane back in January, so will do this again as both are as good as each other. With us out to see 60019 on WCML in morning and with enough time between steam runs at GCR in afternoon, i will pop along and get signed up.

    Thanks once again

Really enjoyed this event. GCR volunteers were the smiling, happy and friendly people I've come to associate with this line - does them proud!

Popped along to Kinchley Lane on Sunday for a few hours on the way south to visit my son in Leicester. Nice to see a familar faces - Simon.
Some nice runnings along the line ! Nice to see Tornado on the Post office stock & Leander heading the dining train, but I think my favorite was seeing the jinty with the Mount Sorrel Stone wagons. WELL DONE GCR- will be back later in the year when I have time for a full days visit

thanks to the GCR for another action packed gala, and well done to the team behind the restoration of the Mountsorrel Granite wagons -- they look superb.

Thank you. It was a good event. I have just put up Sunday's pictures. They were all taken at Loughborough station and shed.
