Another cracking video Austin, I looked at that location on the way back from Scotmans Bridge, luckily you edited the going away shot before we came into view and scared some of the more sensitive members on here.

Thanks to all the rest of you who have posted their photos and vids. I like the shot at Bolton-Le -Sands Phil. Some excellent stuff out there.

Thanks for the updates off Mark via Ralph yesterday and Dave today. Yesterday we had to leave Golborne at 6.40pm so we missed the double header but at least we knew what was happening :cell:

We managed to see 44871 and 45407 near Woodhouse east of the A6 on the way back with seconds to spare, again due to the updates. Well done to Ian and his team on turning 45407 round so fast, when stood at Horwich this morning I thought the Light engine move wouldn't happen.

Thanks to all involved with GBIII, with all the changes involved it must have taken a hell of a lot of work to pull this off :clap2::clap2::clap2:

    Neil.

Like many others I've had an excellent day following Oliver Cromwell on this tour. I only intended going to Shap & Penrith but somehow found myself at Beattock & Abington. Many congratulations to all involved in the running of this event.

A jerky video (tripod off for repairs cheap temp replacement rubbish) of Ollie on the climbs to Shap and Beattock at:

As has been said many times already - great credit to all those involved.

Thanks Neil, I think that spot has great possibilities on a clearer day. I'd endorse your comments about the organisers of the tour, who would have imagined 40 odd years ago that we would be able to witness sights like we have seen over the last few days and to be able to view the excellent photos and videos from all the various locations on the same day they were taken. For me that is one of the best things about the forum.
I think the 5305 LA, custodians of 70013, deserve a special mention for keeping this engine in such condition, she must be the most hard working and well travelled loco on the mainline at present

I think special mention of hard working and well travelled must also apply to the support crew. they have not had much rest over the last few days.

what a fabulous day on thursday of 70013 aqnd 44871 up the lickey incline. both engines worked hard. roll on the 29th may. next double header up the incline and its the turn of 70013 with 9600 pannier, that will be a sight not to be missed. and noticed tornado will once again try the lickey on 26th july.

Just had a call from Frank asking if I had heard any news, he is at Stranraer, anyway just as he was talking he saw steam in the distance.. So we know it's got there, just after 4pm.

A huge round of applause must go to the RTC for still running GB3 through some difficult obstacles (i.e. threatened industrial action). 70013 must now be officially the most active mainline steam locomotive in the country. Assaulting the South Devon Banks, Lickey, Shap and Beattock all in three days will take some beating!! And more is still yet to come for her. I can also only echo the thanks towards the herculean effort to get 45407 back to steam. Nice one Ian!! And my thanks must also go to everyone who has got so much great coverage for the tour. I will have to follow up the GB4, that is if they decide to run another.

Had another smashing day today, the noise on the climbs on the Stranraer section was fantastic! Got some brilliant footage from the front window which should please a few people ;)
